All you need is...

Using some materials from my February Kits - mostly Boho Femme I tried my best to lighten up very old dark photos. I also wanted to do some sponging so started with a white background and worked it well...

Stamps: Bronc Buster
Paper: Whisper White, Berry Bliss Designer Series
Ink: Pretty in pink, White Craft, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Urban West Rub Ons, Pretties Kit, black journaling pen, Brads, Prima flower had on hand

Good Times

Using my February 'Bali Break' kit, I printed the journaling on acetate, and layered like crazy with all the fabulous stuff in the kit. I really wanted bright fun colours for this layout and the colours were perfect! I think my favourite part (besides the memories that is) was the rub ons and felt flowers- they are so exotic...

Paper: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Bali Breeze Designer Series
Accessories: Eastern Elegance & Urban West Rub Ons, Flower Fusion, Tab punch, White 1/4” grosgrain ribbon, black journaling pen, Brads

Scrapbook pages I have been playing with ...

This one the photo just does not do justice... I was trying a new technique transferring an image onto packing tape then mounting to paper. It is not really meant to be super clear but the lines really come through in photo. It is magically fun! And this is a silly photo of a boy being silly so I thought the layout should be fun...

Stamp: Polka Dots & Paisleys (retired)
Ink: Taken with Teal, Old Olive
Paper: Club Scrap plain and print, Petals & Paisleys Designer Series (retired)

The following layout is using paper from my stash and new stamp set from SAB promotion - so cute!

Ink: Taken with Teal, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Summer Sun
Paper: Club Scrap plain and print, Petals & Paisleys Designer Series (retired)
Accessories: Build a Brad, Very Vanilla ribbon, Pretties Kit, Rhinestone brads, Clear embossing powder

The following layout is using retired paper and stamps but I still love them...

Disclaimer note added to February kits

I added a note to the February kits to address any questions with conflict to the Stampin' Up! Cash and Carry policy as I cannot sell product from my home that I stock for customer use. The idea of the kits is to have 3-4 people buy one, I can break up sets and divy up. It is to help those that are new get a variety of goods. It is not a reselling of what I have on hand. I hope that clears up any current and future questions. :)

Birthday Cards

I made this card for a lady that reminds me of myself say 10 or so years back. She said to me once "I gave it to you because it is something I would like myself" and thus I felt the need to make a card I really liked myself and would love to receive. Not sure if others love this card but I am sure she will like the colours and ethnic touches. Some of these materials are in my February kit Bali Break.

Stamps: Birthday Whimsy
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Paper: Apricot Appeal, Bali Breeze Designer Series
Accessories: Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, Eastern Elegance Rub-Ons, Rhinestone brad, various SU! flower punches, scallop punch

The following three cards are based around the Jersey Shore Designer Series paper colour scheme. I used one strip from a 12x12 sheet for all of them. They are for three ladies that are fun and classy but not super girlie girls so I thought the fun colours would be appropriate.

Stamps: Birthday Whimsy
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie, White Craft
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Brilliant Blue, Jersey Shore Designer Series
Accessories: Bashful Blue Striped Grosgrain Ribbon

Stamps: Birthday Whimsy
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie,Yo Yo Yellow, Wild Wasabi, White Craft

More older stuff as promised...

Honestly I cannot do a proper credit on these- they are so old and hmmmm I am just too disorganized I guess LOL.... If I do find or remember I will come back and edit... Note the two here are from a day that was not really happy for me but I think my best graphic work to date and my scrapping friends have been asking to see. And I have a lot of special memories of family and friends associated. It is here only to show use of technique... Please take it for that.

Wizard, Wedding Bliss for Ben and thinking of a special boy...

I finally started using my new toy! Getting used to it but so many future possibilities... I got a Spellbinders Wizard (heavy duty can do almost everything manual) Die Cut machine. Still waiting on some dies but had to try it out on what I had...

Stamps: Embrace Life
Ink: Black Stazon (using a technique we will use at the next Stamper 6 so a secret ;) )
Paper: Club Scrap print, Turquoise I had on hand
Accessories: Pearlex, Wizard Die Cut Machine and Spellbinders Playful Alphabet

My friend Ben married his long love Aimee this past bit in Vancouver, then Toronto, then again back home in England. I am very happy for them both and wish them a lifetime of happiness. I just love the new Rub-ons from Stampin' Up! so had to use them on the card. I formed the flowers to give them dimension (see detail image) and finished off with one of our pearls in the centre.
Paper: Retired True Thyme, Whisper White
Accessories: Eastern Elegance Rub Ons, Designer Label punch, Pretties kit

Working with kits

I whipped up some 8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook pages with 2 of the kits I put together for this next month. I love the way the colours and paper come together. These are hybrid projects and I went for a simplistic approach so not a lot of ribbon used but watch for more to come... I have a few started already...

Using the 'Bali Break' kit, I printed the journaling onto SU! Tempting Turquoise then put it together using the kit...

Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Bali Breeze Designer Series
Accessories: Eastern Elegance Rub Ons, EK Success medium sized corner punch

Using the 'Asian Blossom' kit for the following single and double page layouts, I printed the journaling, titles and border onto SU! card stock then used the kit to finish off... On the following layout I heat embossed the paper pieces to make matching embellishments.

Ink: Versamark
Paper: River Rock, Groovy Guava, Ginger Blossom Designer Series
Accessories: Eastern Elegance Rub Ons, Clear Embossing powder

Cool picture the other morning...

It was -47 below with a wind and 7am - I looked out and saw this bundled up mass walking on our street. With the ice fog and the time of day I thought it was beautiful!

February Kits

Disclaimer Note: these kits are not pre-ordered and assembled as that would be a conflict of the SU! Stampin’ Up! Cash and Carry Policy. Because I am assembling them from products ordered at the time of customer order, they are, like all merchandise, applicable to normal tax and SH rates. All other standard policies are applicable (see back of invoice). It is only in multiple purchases I am able to do these kits and break up the individual packages. All merchandise in kit is current product- nothing is discontinued.

I thought these kits would be nice for newer customers as well as convenient for others. I know that when you are first new to Stampin'Up! products it is easy to want a lot of different product. It takes awhile to build stock up but I hope this will help. You will get a nice selection at the retail cost (more goodies just smaller quantities of each)!! For those that loved my Christmas card kits this is similar in that I have matched everything up for you so you can have a lot of fun but I am not designing the cards. Each set should make 12-16 cards or 3 double layout scrapbook pages. The possibilities are endless! There are plenty of accessories and you should have some left over to use with other projects as well and a beautiful stamp set for your collection. I think it is an economical way to start playing faster! And 2 kits will meet the minimum for a free SAB set (see brochure below) so that is a great reason to stock up and get free product :) Note though, for those in Stamper 6 club I have ordered you a SAB set already, so to get another free set you need to spend $70.00 (note: dropped from $75.00) over the minimum but the good news is these kits would meet the monthly minimum!!! And they are based on the latest in styles out in the card making/ scrap booking world!

NOTE: the little squares with 1 1/2" cuts of the patterned paper are a sampling to show you the related patterns that will come in each 6x12" Designer Series paper set.

Saturday was my Whitehorse group's first Stampin 6 Meeting

Lots of fun. Created some cute cards- see below:

The first card/project was a Valentines Bag Topper using some materials from the current SU! Valentines promotion- I know I saw a similar style out there somewhere and thought so cute! I changed some colours to match candies as they were a gift from me to the girls as they support breast cancer. I used some of the other supplies from the promotion on other cards.

Stamps: Double Line Doodles, Happy Heart Day
Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red, Taken With Teal, Certainly Celery
Paper: Taken With Teal, Whisper White, Rose Red, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Medium Cellophane bags, tag punches, 1/2" circle punch, black hemp

This card is multiple layers. The mouse tail was crazy!! I saw it done elsewhere and it is finicky but great rewards I think... I sent away to a young man that has my heart for Valentines :)

The second card was so much fun! I saw it done on a web-a-sode and was so excited to try. The interlocking envelope close with silver embossed hearts. The card can be loose or attached inside. I was so excited to use the new Always set from SU! as the images are adorable and so trendy! I think I will keep this one awhile for an example!!!

Stamps: Always
Ink: Versamark, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi
Paper: Porcelain Prints DS, River Rock, Very Vanilla, Blue Bayou
Accessories: 1/2" circle punch, Silver embossing powder

The third card was inspired by a design I saw and borrowed the general idea but simplified a great deal for class purposes. The little birds in A Little Birdie Told Me are so cute! The heart is dry embossed. I mailed this one out to another special little man in my life who sounded like a bird about a year ago LOL... Unfortunately it had a wee accident with a very apologetic lady in class but still sweet so I sent out... happy Valentines my little baby eagle xo

Stamps: A Little Birdie Told Me, Short & Sweet
Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red
Paper: Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose. Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Regal Rose Ribbon, Priceless Brass Template

The forth card was using emboss resist technique. I had to use all the images in Always so the rest not used before are used here. I mailed this to my sister in law for her birthday - like me she was born close to Valentines Day- a fellow Aquarius- so Valentinesy is appropriate.

Stamps: Always
Ink: Pretty in Pink craft, Close to Cocoa, Soft Sky
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pretty in Pink craft, Soft Sky, Berry Bliss DS
Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, Clear embossing powder, Build a Brad, 1/2" circle punch

Now to figure out which card to give the big love in my life for Valentines ;)
